Successful Diabetes Management edition by Lloyd Mann Health Fitness Dieting eBooks Reviews

Lloyd has been helping fellow diabetics on forums and chat rooms for years now. It's great he has written his book as an inspiration to others that "this CAN be done". I'm over 22 years into diabetes and always felt i had things under control. I only WISH i could attain the great bg levels that Lloyd has. Yes, I'll consider a pump now D
As long as I have known Lloyd he has a passion for showing others with diabetes who seem to be lost in the wilderness that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Begin successful with diabetes management can be achieve with time, patience and having the right guidance Successful Diabetes Management can be that guide to get you to the light at the end of the tunnel.
Lloyd Mann has superb control of his diabetes. His book describes how he has achieved his control. It will help all insulin dependant diabetics to develop good diabetes management from the time they are diagnosed, and beyond. This book should prove very helpful to all diabetics who want to improve their management technique, and live a long, healthy life with diabetes. He has helped many people online, and he can help you.
Lloyd Mann has had Type 2 diabetes for 17+ years, being insulin dependent for 5+ years. He went on insulin to gain better control of his diabetes. He is very educated on the subject of diabetes. He has been using an insulin pump for 4+ years with great success. He has been able to successful lose weight and keep it off. And to top things off, his a1c has been 5.4% or lower for more than 4 years. His book provides tips, tricks, and tools to help you successfully manage your diabetes.
Lloyd has written a great primer about Type 2 diabetes management, particularly for those folks who opt to use or need to use insulin to control/bring their blood sugar numbers to normal non-diabetic levels. Lloyd makes use of his personal story of becoming diabetic (T2) and going through the phases of using oral medicines, to using insulin via injections, then by the use of a pump. Once he started using an insulin pump combined with strict dietary control, Lloyd has been able to achieve impressive blood glucose numbers, that of a non-diabetic.

Though the book is short, about 100 pages, Lloyd has managed to combine photos and text in a succinct format that new or experienced diabetics can use this book as their primary guide in their journey with diabetes. If you want to get technical about diabetes, there are plenty of 500+ page books out there to read (or to put on a shelf). For new diabetics, those college textbook-sized books are daunting, to say the least. If you are new to diabetes, or know someone that is new to diabetes, I would suggest Successful Diabetes Management as a first book.

Perhaps the most important lesson from Lloyd's book is to not be afraid of insulin, not to be afraid of using an insulin pump. They are simply tools that a diabetic can use to manage their blood sugar levels. Included are numerous pictures and plenty of information about pumps and infusion sets and the important how-to about them, too.

Lloyd gives advice and shares his philosophy on being a diabetic. When a diabetic makes bad choices in food and their blood sugar numbers are high, Lloyd says "A bad day is a bad day, don't let it become a bad week." Good advice. Lloyd ends the book with a couple of diabetic friendly recipes (cookies and pancakes) and a very useful FAQ section.
Written in an understandable way, great information for the newly-diagnosed or veteran dealing with diabetes. I'll be referring back to this resource often.
