"I haven't come across anything quite like this..." Debbie Roxburgh (Speedy McCready) "With your wily work [Dani], I tend to focus on what's in parentheses. (I also think you are very misunderstood...and possibly always have been.)" Eponymous Rox (B.O.T.) Reginald sends Graham Reader (aka the Grim Reaper), out on a mission to find Code 237-Manna-X, the Manna Machine after the Overlords warn him of an imminent (3000 year old) threat against the security of both the physical and non-physical realms. Will Graham find the fantastic yet deadly device before anyone or anything else does?

As a `non-believer' I must say I rather enjoyed the tongue-in-cheek mocking of God, Moses and the like. I thoroughly enjoyed the author's take on certain `historical' events and must say that it reminded me in a way of `The Good Man Jesus and the Scoundrel Christ' by Philip Pullman.Overall, I enjoyed the book very much, and would recommend it highly to those of you who aren't easily offended when it comes to the true nature of their `faith' to give it a go.
The storyline of Graham's search for the manna machine works well and provides a good base for an entertaining read.

MannaX Dani J Caile 9781490371702 Books Reviews
This is an unusual yarn, with a bureaucratic God, hobgoblins, and whole new take on biblical stories. It may offend some readers, but I loved it.
A Whole new spin on Bible Stories. I have read all of His books and LOVED THEM! Just have an open mind! ;)
Death, Satan, Bob 1, Bob 2, Bob 3, & Bob 4, God, Moses and a time machine. Interesting quirky story.
Absurd and irreverent, but ultimately only very silly. If you don't like Douglas Adams, you won't like this. Still, written very well with some great dialog.
So I will say right off the bat that this is not really my sort of thing. It was referred by someone I trust so I took a chance.
Glad I did. It is really pretty fun. Pretty sure "The Bobs" were my favorite. Not those Bobs, the other Bobs. You'll see what I mean.
A bit out there and probably a little over my head, but if sarcastic Satan sounds fun to you, give it a chance.
Manna-X is the product of a wonderfully creative and unusual mind. The author takes a "fresh" look at God, religion and spirituality in a satirical romp of quirky-humor, hidden-wisdom and daring fun. I took this with me to the beach and laughed repeatedly. He's invented (or reinvented) some fantasic and off the wall characters. I'll be looking forward to more by Dani Caile. Recommended to anyone with a sense of humor.
Lots of humor and clever dialogues makes this book a very interesting read. It is an unusual and weird novel for those with sense of humor, open mind, religious tolerance and cultural knowledge. I am not sure if I understood everything, but I can say that Dani J. Cale is a talented and original writer.
